Expand branches with the arrow. Names and action chips are direct links to the detailed explanations.

Profiles4

Active setup
Profiles save map source, active layers, terrain, raster overlays, hillshade/contours, POI layer, app mode and map style for the active map context. Colors, icon favorites, menu order and the full map-slot layout are global settings and are included in backups.
Map styles
Standard · Map source and offline maps are managed in the map browser.
Custom Profile
Save · Duplicate · Delete
Reset profile
Menu order, colors, icon favorites, map slots and important app settings will be reset to their defaults for the current profile. Your projects, objects, imported maps and POI data remain unchanged.

Darkmode
Force dark UI theme.
Red night mode
Uses a dark red palette to preserve night vision in the field.
Text size: 90–160%
Increases labels and dialogs across the app for accessibility and outdoor readability.
High contrast mode
Uses stronger foreground and accent colors for sunlight and accessibility.
Outdoor brightness
Keeps the app window at maximum brightness for outdoor use.
Glove mode
Enlarges important map controls for safer use with gloves and cold hands.
Live status strip
Shows the compact AS MapTools status strip below the system status bar and adapts to device insets automatically.

Connections and offline operation5

Online · Offline mode · Radio silence
Offline mode
Blocks every internet request started by MapTools, including online map services and external web links. Local projects, offline maps, POIs, terrain, tracking and offline routing remain available.
Radio silence
Additionally pauses MapTools Wi-Fi scans, Wi-Fi Aware, BLE reception, BLE advertising, Remote ID and group mode.
Block Google connections
Pauses Google Maps, Play Store update checks, Play Billing licence checks and Google location APIs. Custom WMS, WMTS and OGC servers remain available.
Block OpenStreetMap online service
Blocks requests by the built-in OSM online map. Imported OpenAndroMaps and other offline maps as well as custom servers remain available.
