A circle marks a selected radius around a centre point and remains an editable object in the project.
Point sources
Set the centre on the map, by coordinates, from a saved object or from GPS.
Appearance
Adjust outline, fill, colour, transparency and visibility on the saved object.
Combinations
Intersect circles with bearings or other circles and use a circle as the basis for a search grid.
Workflow
Create a circle
- Open Tools and select Circle.
- Set the radius and choose the centre from a suitable point source.
- Check its appearance and reuse the circle for intersections or a search grid when needed.
Accuracy and limits
A planning aid, not a guaranteed boundary
The circle is a geometric map aid, not an automatically monitored safety zone. Accuracy and appearance depend on the centre source, map alignment, zoom level and units.
