Manual

Live Menu

Use drone Remote ID, search grids and live groups from the live menu.

Live Menu

Live menu entries

The live menu contains functions that process current signals, grids or group status while you work.

Drones

Opens drone Remote ID reception. Reception strongly depends on the phone, Android version, radio chips, vendor restrictions, permissions and environment. Some devices cannot receive certain Remote ID signals. The app processes public signals locally and does not control drones.

Search grid

Supports structured search work with grids, areas and progress information.

Groups

Collects live group functions for nearby cooperative work and shared situational awareness. BLE can be limited by the phone, Android version, battery saving mode and vendor restrictions.

Group limits and operation

Device dependency

BLE and Remote ID depend strongly on the phone

Live groups and drone Remote ID are optional radio features. Reliability depends not only on the app, but also on hardware, Android version, vendor changes, permissions, battery saving rules and the radio environment.

Phone and Android

Some devices support BLE scanning, BLE extended advertising, Wi-Fi Aware/NAN or Wi-Fi beacon parsing only partially or not at all. Drone Remote ID data may therefore be missing even when a drone is broadcasting.

Permissions and system limits

Bluetooth, Nearby devices, location, Wi-Fi and visible foreground services may be required depending on the function. Some vendors heavily throttle BLE in the background, during battery saving or with the screen locked.

Environment and signal source

Range and detection depend on distance, obstacles, interference, active Bluetooth/Wi-Fi, region and whether the drone actually broadcasts compatible Remote ID signals.

Live Menu

Drone Remote ID passively receives public broadcasts, search grids support systematic area work, and groups exchange local nearby status. Availability and range depend on Android, radio hardware, permissions, power saving and the environment.

Detailed guides

Search grid, Area Search and AR

The new detail pages explain active coverage, pause and finish controls, and the limits of camera and sensor data.

Area work

Use a normal grid for all controls or Area Search for the reduced field view.

Camera view

AR overlays existing navigation data; LiveView captures a bearing. They are separate functions.

Message history

Mark here

Create or import a group, activate it, then start group mode to broadcast your position and receive nearby team members over BLE. Messages and "Mark here" events help coordinate quickly without mobile data.

Mark here

Mark here creates exactly one persistent project marker for the sender and receiver. Duplicate events are suppressed, the bounded history can be cleared, and group mode can recover after process or Bluetooth interruptions.

BLE group mode

Exchanges group positions, messages and Mark here events via Bluetooth.

“Mark here” requires a current location.
