BLE Legacy, BLE Extended Advertising, Wi-Fi NAN or Wi-Fi Aware and Wi-Fi Beacon are supported when the device permits them.

Drone Remote ID
MapTools can passively receive compatible public Direct Remote ID broadcasts and display them locally on the map and in detail views.
Protocols
Valid Open Drone ID or ASTM F3411 and ASD-STAN/EU Direct Remote ID payloads are evaluated.
Displayed data
Depending on the broadcast, identifiers, position, altitude, movement, status, operator or take-off position, source, protocol and RSSI may appear.
Local history
An optional local history can be exported as KML for maps, GeoJSON for GIS and CSV for tables.
Workflow
Assess Remote ID signals
- Enable the required radios and Android permissions.
- Open Drones in the Live menu and check reception method, freshness and signal source.
- Store a local history only when needed and export it in the appropriate format.
Accuracy and limits
Passive and incomplete reception
The app neither connects to nor controls a drone. No display does not prove absence; reception depends on the phone, Android, region, permissions, distance and radio environment and is not an official determination.
