Manual

Live Groups

Live Groups exchange position and status data over Bluetooth Low Energy nearby without using an ArxSilex server.

Local proximity

Participants are detected through local BLE packets; range and freshness depend on the device and environment.

Group access

Profiles, QR codes and keys control participation and should only be shared with trusted participants.

Map display

Position, accuracy, freshness, status and optional short messages or Mark Here information may appear on the map.

Android operation

Bluetooth or Nearby, location, notifications and a visible foreground service may be required depending on the Android version.

Workflow

Use a local group

  1. Agree on participation, group configuration and data sharing with everyone involved.
  2. Import or create the group, grant permissions and start it from the Live menu.
  3. Check the age and accuracy of updates, then stop the session after use.

Accuracy and limits

No guaranteed tracking or operational communication

Missing participants or old positions can result from range, shielding, battery optimisation and Android limits. Live Groups do not replace operational radio, central incident management or guaranteed tracking; location and group data are sensitive.
