Sources
Open map, POI and elevation files separately, together or from security-checked ZIP files. Multiple .map and .poi sources are combined geographically; POI-only and elevation-only data can also be clipped.

Choose local map, POI or elevation data, define an area and export exactly the extract you need.
ArxSilex MapTools Converter
Open map, POI and elevation files separately, together or from security-checked ZIP files. Multiple .map and .poi sources are combined geographically; POI-only and elevation-only data can also be clipped.
Select multiple rectangles or circles, search for places and POIs, and mark matches temporarily. Overlaps count only once in area, object and size totals.
Create Mapsforge .map v4/v5, one merged .poi v3/v4, a clipped OSM PBF or elevation data as GeoTIFF, ASC, HGT or DTED, depending on the sources. With maps plus POIs, map data comes from the map sources and POIs from every loaded POI database.
When resizing a circular selection, pressing a corner handle now preserves the existing radius. Only the actual drag movement scales the circle, so its outline no longer jumps when the gesture starts.
Interface examples
The complete workflow: load local map, POI and elevation data, define the area and content, review the export, and use the generated files in MapTools or other compatible applications.
HGT, GeoTIFF, ASC and DTED elevation data can be loaded on their own or together with maps and POIs. Define the selection on the terrain preview and export it as a separate elevation file; elevation data is not embedded in the Mapsforge .map file.
Local and portable
Processing takes place on this computer. Cache, logs and temporary work data remain beside the application; Java and Gradle are not required for the portable package.
Open Source
Version 1.5.2 provides the interface in the same 17 languages as the Android app, switchable metric or imperial units, and portable settings. The Converter remains open as a separate GPL-3.0-only project; that licence does not apply to the Android app.
