# ArxSilex MapTools Converter – licensing notice

The original source code of **ArxSilex MapTools Converter** in this repository is licensed under the
GNU General Public License, version 3 only (`GPL-3.0-only`). The complete licence text is provided in
[`LICENSE`](LICENSE).

This licence applies only to the standalone MapTools Converter. It does **not** apply to the separate
ArxSilex MapTools Android application, even where the products share a name, visual identity, website
link or compatible file formats.

Bundled third-party libraries, build tools and runtime components remain under their respective
licences. Their origins and licence information are documented in
[`documentation/dependencies.md`](documentation/dependencies.md), in the generated CycloneDX SBOMs,
and in licence metadata embedded in the distributed components. OpenStreetMap data is not part of the
program licence; applicable OpenStreetMap attribution and ODbL terms remain separate.

## Additional import libraries

- **laszip4j 0.21**, copyright Marcel Reutegger and the LASzip/LAStools contributors, is distributed
  under the GNU Lesser General Public License 2.1 according to its project and published Maven
  metadata. Individual source headers permit LGPL version 3 or later. The conservative LGPL-2.1 text
  is included as `licenses/LGPL-2.1.txt`; either licensing statement is compatible with this
  GPL-3.0-only application. The library remains an unmodified, separately replaceable JAR.
- **Apache Commons Compress 1.28.0** is distributed under the Apache License 2.0. Its JAR retains the
  upstream `META-INF/LICENSE.txt` and `META-INF/NOTICE.txt`. Apache-2.0 is compatible with GPLv3.
- **PROJ 9.9.0** is distributed under the MIT licence. The unmodified licence text is included as
  `licenses/PROJ-MIT.txt` and in the portable native runtime.
- **SQLite 3.53.4** is in the public domain. It is compiled into the bundled PROJ runtime; the
  upstream public-domain dedication is included as `licenses/SQLite-Public-Domain.txt`.
